Bidding

The process for putting an appointment out to multiple staff at the same time to bid on

Last updated on 21 Jan, 2026

To make an appointment available for your staff to bid on in Eziplan, you must first be in the Weekly Planner.

Choose the appointment you wish to offer for bidding in the Left Hand Panel and select the 'AV' button. This will open a view of your day with the chosen appointment in a bar down the page, the availability of your staff in the bars across the page and the current appointments that the staff have booked so you can see where the appointment would fit into their timetables. You are initially filtered to show only staff who are qualified and available throughout the entire time of the appointment.

You can make changes to the filtering to show all staff available, non qualified staff and either highlight time or distance. Once you have the staff list you are after you can turn Bidding to "On" with the green button at the bottom left of the box. Once you do this you will get a set of check boxes to choose the staff you wish to offer the shift to and then once you have chosen them select 'Done' and the bottom of the box.

The chosen staff will now get a text message that notifies them of an available shift and guide them to their mobile app.

The left panel will also show that the appointment is out for bidding and how many workers it has been sent out to.

The first person to accept the shift will be automatically placed in it and all others will be told it has been taken should they try to accept. The weekly planner will reflect this by showing the appointment against the worker who accepted it.

The email registered for the company, along with Company Admins who have 'Get Roster Notifications' enabled on their profile, will receive an email when a shift is accepted or rejected.
