When setting up a staff member in the Eziplan system, you can complete their standard availability information which is a key input to the automated roster function visible through the Weekly Planner.
From the left hand menu panel, click on Care Workers (or whatever title you are using for staff) then select 'Standard Availability' from the options that open up:
This will take you to the Care Workers availability list where you will have a view all of your staff members.
Update the available hours for each day of the schedule. If a care worker is not available for a given day, leave the start and end time empty. Enter times in 24 hour clock format e.g. 6:00pm as 1800.
It is important to note if you are running a fortnightly roster type, you must complete standard availability for two weeks. The initial view opened up is the current week then click on 'Next' to go to the following week.
Click on 'Update Availability' to save the changes.
Any changes to the availability in a fortnightly calendar will be saved for current and all future dates. Remember any changes relevant for the current fortnight only will need to be updated again for the following fortnight e.g. staff not available for Wednesday in week 1 of the fortnight for this fortnight only, make changes to show not available as above and update then you will need to go back in and update before the following fortnight to show availability again for rostering purposes.
