SAH - Claims Table View/Validation

Last updated on 23 Mar, 2026

SAH claims validation runs as a background process rather than checking validation on every page view. This improvement significantly speeds up your workflow and provides clearer visibility into validation status.

Understanding Validation Status

Claims now display their validation status and timestamp directly in the claims table. Look for:

  • Validation status icon: Indicates whether validation is complete, in progress, or needs to be run

  • Last validated timestamp: Shows when the claim was last checked

When Validation Occurs

Claims are automatically validated in three scenarios:

  • On Creation

When you create a new claim, validation automatically runs in the background. You'll see a notification that validation has started, and you can continue working while it completes.

  • On First View/Edit (if not yet validated)

If you open a claim that hasn't been validated yet, validation will begin automatically. You don't need to wait for completion - validation continues in the background.

  • Manual Recheck

You can manually trigger validation by clicking the "Recheck" icon in the claim view/edit screen. Use this when you've made changes to participant budgets or claim data and want to ensure everything is still valid.

Working with Validation Results

Once validation completes, any errors found are stored against the specific claim items. You can review these errors in the claim view without triggering a new validation check.

What This Means For You

  • Faster page loads: Opening and editing claims is now much quicker as validation isn't rechecked on every action

  • Clear status visibility: You can see at a glance which claims have been validated

  • Background processing: Continue working while validation runs without waiting for completion

Searching and Filtering Claim Items

The search bar on the claim view/edit screen has been expanded to filter across most available columns, making it significantly easier to locate specific line items — including all items with validation errors.

You can now search and filter by fields such as:

  • Client name

  • Service type / SaH Item

  • Service date

  • Error status

  • Supplier invoice reference

This is particularly useful for large claims with hundreds or thousands of lines, where previously you would need to page through the entire claim to locate errors.

Quickly Finding Error Items

To see only the lines that need attention in a claim, use the search bar and filter by error status. All error items will be shown together, regardless of which page they would otherwise appear on.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I find all the error items in a large claim without paging through every row?

Use the expanded search bar in the claim view/edit screen and filter by error status. This will display only the lines that have validation errors, across all pages of the claim — saving significant time on large claims.

Why does the error badge still appear on a row after I've fixed the issue?

After saving a change to a claim item, the row updates automatically to reflect the current state. If you still see an error badge after saving, click Refresh Validation to trigger a fresh validation pass. The badge will clear once validation has re-run and confirmed the item is now valid.
